Bug Window

Household observation journal
Bug Window helps you calmly record household pest sightings, the exact places where they appear, and the small fixes you try over time. It is built for practical home notes, not professional pest-control diagnosis.
Open the app after a sighting, add a note in seconds, then later record what you tried and whether the same place stayed calm.
Create concrete household points such as Kitchen sink, Pantry shelf, Bathroom drain or Balcony door.
Record pest type, time bucket, severity, estimated count, possible source hint, notes and optional photos.
Save actions such as Trap, Deep clean, Seal gap, Remove food source, Take out trash or Drain clean.
See which zones repeat most, what changed against the previous window, and which fixes had no observed repeat.
Bug Window focuses on clear household records and simple metrics. It does not make medical, toxicological or professional extermination claims.
The Home area is designed around quick actions and household awareness: add a sighting, add a fix, review active hot spots from the last 7 days, and spot fixes that need a check-in.
Filter by room, zone, pest kind, severity, period and photo availability. Use list or compact calendar style views.
Each fix can show No follow-up yet, No repeat in window, or Repeated after a number of days.
Review recurrence by space, change versus previous window, common pests, time bucket patterns and fix outcomes.
Group zones by room, archive old points, open a zone history, and add new sightings or fixes from that context.
The app concept is built around local household records: quick to enter, easy to export, and not dependent on a remote service.
Bug Window is planned as an iPhone utility with local storage for zones, pest kinds, sightings, fixes and settings. Photo attachments are treated as local files, with stored records keeping file paths rather than uploading images to a server.
Room name, zone name, notes, creation date, sorting and archive state.
Pest type, date, time bucket, severity, count estimate, source hint, notes and optional photo paths.
Action type, effort level, cost level, related pest kind, follow-up days, notes and optional photo paths.
Bug Window is made for personal home tracking. It helps organize observations; it does not replace professional inspection, treatment or safety advice.
Use it when you want to remember where something appeared, what you tried, and whether a calmer interval followed.
The app avoids expert conclusions. It shows your history and simple derived metrics, then leaves interpretation to you.
The main scenario is designed around adding a sighting or a fix in a short moment, without opening a complex professional form.
The visual direction combines dark glass panels, aqua glow, lime accents and amber warning states to match the Bug Window privacy page.
